To the muteness of the desert she hailed
Her blood flew
like lavender the earth it didn't sip her
Like sincere pledges
To heal her chest
Torn by the power of her calls
Beneath foreign clouds
She was searching for a place to pray
the eyes of fog did not fribble with
Nor
Broken by Hypocrisy's rituals
She never been
One of estrangement's brides
Nor the muezzin's* calls
abandoned her
She was killed by her people's apostasy
When horse's saddles on dog's backs they fastened
With their papers she was stoned
In their sins her fingers she washed
the pains of the voyage of toil
arched her back
The earth from under her feet
They pulled away...
Her head the sky it pierced
From estrangement
To exile..
To another exile
Stop emptying your bags
Stop
decorating the walls with pictures
Stop
For you may enjoy your stay .
The earth is God's
The deed is a temptation for the stranger
The wound is deep
And the claws are tamed
Halleluiah
For a homeland that do not
fertile despair
Halleluiah
For a homeland that refuses to breastfeed
The sons of frailty
Halleluiah
For isolation
Halleluiah for Exile
if the nakedness of spring is not coated
With the winter's shirt

هتفت لخرس الصحراء حتى..
سالت دماءها
لم ترشفها الأرض خزاماً
نداءات للمخلصين
لتردم ما تشقق من صدرها
من شدة الدعاء
تحت غيم غريب
تبحث عن مصلى
لا عبثت به عيون الضباب
ولا..
كسرته طقوس الرياء
ما كانت يوماً
إحدى عرائس الغربة
ولا انتفى عنها صوت مؤذن
أسرف في النداء
قتلتها ردَة أهلها
إذ شدَت سروج الجياد على ظهور الكلاب
رجمت بأوراقهم
غسلت أصابعها في ذنوبهم
قوَست قامتها رحلة العناء
سحبوا الأرض من تحت قدميها
فاخترقت هامتها بطن السماء
من اغتراب ..
إلى اغتراب..
فاغتراب
توقفي عن إفراغ الحقائب
توقفي..
عن تزيين الجدار بالصور
لئلا يحلو لك البقاء
الأرض لله
والصكَ .. دعاء الغريب
الجرح غائر
والمخالب أليفة
فطوبى..
لوطن لا يخصَب اليأس
طوبى..
لوطن لا يرضع أبناء العجز
طوبى..
لعزلة
إذا لم يستر عريَ الربيع
قميص الشتاء.
