Ramallah (West Bank) – "The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics" announced on Saturday Feb. 9th.2008, the number of Palestinians residing in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem reached 3,761,646 persons as per as per the census conducted by the bureau during early December 2007.

As per the Palestinian law the "The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics" has to conduct the census every ten years, and here we have the second census conducted by Palestinians since the establishment of the Palestinian Authority, as the first census was conducted in 1997.

He also pointed out that results cover the number of people distributed between mails and females, the number of families as per each administrative district (Muhafaza) and the territory (West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem) as on December 1st 2007, the total number of inhabitants relying on the percentage of those not covered in the posteriori study, the number of active establishments as per each district and territory (West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem) and the number of people employed in the private sector, public companies and the mechanical sector.

رام الله (الضفة الغربية) - أعلن جهاز الإحصاء المركزي الفلسطيني السبت أن عدد الفلسطينيين المقيمين في الضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة والقدس الشرقية بلغ 3,761,646 شخصا وفق التعداد الذي أجراه الجهاز في بداية كانون الأول/ديسمبر من العام الماضي.
وقال رئيس جهاز الإحصاء لؤي شبانه في مؤتمر صحافي عقده السبت "أن نتائج التعداد أظهرت أن نسبة الذكور أكثر من نسبة النساء بواقع 103 ذكور لكل مئة أنثى".
ويتوزع عدد السكان في الضفة الغربية وغزة والقدس الشرقية كما يلي بحسب شبانه: الضفة الغربية (2,345,107) وغزة (1,146,539) والقدس الشرقية (362,502).
وقال شبانه بان جهاز الإحصاء مارس التعداد فعليا في القدس الشرقية رغم قرار الحكومة الإسرائيلية بمنع إجرائه باعتباره نوعا من "السيادة".
وأضاف "رغم القانون الذي أقرته إسرائيل بمنع إجراء التعداد في مدينة القدس إلا إننا تمكنا من إجراء التعداد الفعلي داخل المدينة ووفق التقسيم الفلسطيني لإحيائها".
وحسب القانون الفلسطيني فان على جهاز الإحصاء الفلسطيني إجراء تعداد للسكان مرة كل عشر سنوات وهذا هو التعداد السكاني الثاني الذي يجريه الفلسطينيون منذ قيام السلطة الفلسطينية حيث جرى أول تعداد في العام 1997.
وقال شبانه بان زيادة طرأت على السكان منذ التعداد الأول الذي جرى في العام 1997 حيث ارتفع عدد السكان في قطاع غزة بنسبة 39% وفي الضفة الغربية بنسبة 30% وفي القدس الشرقية 10%.

رام الله - وفا - أعلن لؤي شبانة رئيس جهاز الإحصاء المركزي، أن عدد السكان في الأراضي الفلسطينية حسب النتائج الأولية لعملية العد الفعلية، بلغ (3,761,646)،بواقع(2,345,107) في الضفة الغربية مقابل (1,416,53) في قطاع غزة.
وأوضح د.شبانة خلال مؤتمر صحفي عقده اليوم، في مدنية رام الله بالضفة الغربية، أن عدد الأسـر التي تـم عدها فعلاً هـو (629,327) أسـرة، منـها(414,635) في الضفة الغربية، و(214,692) في القطاع، مشيراً إلى أن متوسط حجم الأسرة في الأراضي الفلسطينية،(5.8) بواقع (5.5) في الضفة الغربية، و(6.5) في قطاع غزة، وأن نسبة العد هي 97.3%.
وأشار إلى أن النتائج تشمل في هذه المرحلة عـدد السكان موزعين إلى ذكور وإناث وعدد الأسر حسب المحافظة والمنطقة (ضفة غربية، غزة)، كما هو حتى الأول من كانون أول 2007، وعدد السكان الإجمالي وذلك باعتماد نسبة عدم الشمول للأفراد التي تم الحصول عليها من نتائج الدراسة البعدية، و عدد المباني والوحدات السكنية حسب المحافظـة والمنطقة (ضفة غربية، غـزة)، كمـا هـي مـن الفتـرة 20 تشرين أول حتى – 10تشرين ثاني من العام المنصرم، و عدد المنشآت العاملة وغير العاملة حسب المحافظة والمنطقة (ضفة غربية، غزة)، وعدد المشتغلين في المنشآت العامـلة فـي القطاع الخاص والشركات الحكومية والقطاع الآلي. פירוט ב
